World Dance Artist Master Class with Larry Yazzie

As part of the Worlds of Dance Course, the Dance Program invites world dance artists to campus for master classes. On Monday, October 21st we welcome Larry Yazzie who will be teaching a master class on Powwow Fancy Dancer.

Larry Yazzie, CEO, Founder, and Artistic Director of Native Pride Productions, Inc. comes from the Meskwaki Nation in central Iowa. He is a performing artist, actor, Men’s Northern Fancy Dancer and an Eagle Dancer. Larry travels throughout the world to educate and entertain audiences of all ages about the beauty, skill, and majesty of Native American music and dance. His mission is to educate, inspire, motivate and empower diverse communities to bridge cultural gaps through Indigenous traditions.

All master classes are open to anyone to observe or participate in. There is no registration or fee to attend. These master classes are made possible by the Nadine B. Andreas Endowment Program.
