Andreas Theatre, Earley Center for Performing Arts
Minnesota State University, Mankato’s Department of Theatre & Dance will open the 2020-2021 Studio Season with Silent Sky in the Andreas Theatre at the Earley Center for the Performing Arts.
Silent Sky tells the true story of Henrietta Leavitt, a brilliant woman who goes to work at the Harvard Observatory in the early 1900s. Forbidden from using the telescopes by her male supervisor, she spends her nights doing her own research and her discoveries helped shape our understanding of the universe and our place in it.
Based on recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and the Minnesota Department of Health, the Department of Theatre and Dance will be limiting the theater capacity to 25% to ensure social distancing. All patrons are required to wear masks for the duration of their time in the Performing Arts Center, and the performers will also be wearing masks.
Silent Sky runs Sept. 16-19, 2020 at 7:30 p.m. and Sept. 19 and 20 at 2:00 p.m. in the Andreas Theatre at the Earley Center for Performing Arts, Minnesota State University, Mankato.
