In recognition and celebration of Constitution Day, Minnesota State Mankato's Kessel Peace Institution and the School of Communication present: Exercising your First Amendment Rights: Engaging in Protest and Civil Disobedience.

Schedule of Events:
- 11:00am-12:15pm: “Mankato, MN: A History of Protest”
- Keynote Speakers: Barb Carson (retired MSUM professor) and Mark Halvorsen (local activist and MSUM alum)
- 12:30-2:00pm: “The Role of Protest and Civil Disobedience in the United States Today”
- Panel Discussion: Panelists are local activists representing such groups as Indivisible, LGBTQ and mutual aid groups.
Note: Q & A will follow each presentation. Please feel free to “zoom-in” to one session, but we hope you will stay for both sessions.
