4/8/21 7:30PM Theatre & Dance Production: Mama Mia

Thursday, April 8, 2021
7:30 PM - 10:00 PM
Ted Paul Theatre, Earley Center for Performing Arts

Minnesota State University, Mankato’s Department of Theatre & Dance continues the 2020-2021 season with Mamma Mia! April 7-18.

Based on the songs of pop group ABBA, and set on a sunny Greek island, Mamma Mia! tells the story of a daughter’s quest to discover the identify of her father when she invites all three men from her mother’s past to her wedding.

This is the department’s second go at presenting Mamma Mia! Last March, a group of students and faculty were in New York for the annual Broadway trip, and had to hastily return home at the beginning of the pandemic. Mamma Mia!, along with eight other productions, was cancelled.

This spring, we are so excited to welcome back Paul J. Hustoles to direct Mamma Mia! Here we go again, indeed!

COVID protocols are still in place including a mandatory mask requirement for audience members, cast, crew and staff. Patrons are required to complete a COVID self-screening before coming to campus, and the theatre has limited capacity to ensure social distancing.

Mamma Mia! runs April 7-10 & 14-17 at 7:30 p.m. and April 10, 11, 17 & 18, at 2:00 p.m. in the Ted Paul Theatre at the Earley Center for Performing Arts, Minnesota State University, Mankato.

Tickets are $24 regular, $21 for seniors ages 65 and older, children under 16 and groups of 15 or more; and $16 for MSU students.

The Box Office is open 4-6 p.m. weekdays in the lobby of the Performing Arts Center, or buy single tickets online at MSUTheatre.com. The Box Office line is 507-389-6661.
