Nicholas Wayne earned a Master of Music degree from Minnesota State, Mankato. He earned his undergraduate degree, a Bachelor of Arts in Music, from Bethany Lutheran College. Nick also previously studied voice with Thaxter Cunio at the MacPhail Center for the Arts in Minneapolis. He currently serves as the Music Director for Minnesota State University, Mankato’s Department of Theatre and Dance and Highland Summer Theatre, having music directed over 50 musicals during the past 15 years. Some of his favorite past projects include The Phantom of the Opera, Miss Saigon, Les Misérables, Titanic, The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Aida. Nick has written several choral pieces, including a world premier for Christmas in Christ Chapel at Gustavus Adolphus College. In addition, Nick has been a member of adjunct music faculties for Gustavus Adolphus College, Bethany Lutheran College and Minnesota State Mankato’s Department of Music.
