COVID-19 GUidelines for the 2020-2021 season:
Minnesota State University, Mankato and the Department of Theatre and Dance are committed to taking any steps necessary to protect the health and safety of our faculty, staff, students and community.
All patrons and other visitors are required to complete the COVID-19 self screening tool before coming to campus, and provide proof of completing the screening with a printed or electronic verification.
Due to State of Minnesota regulations, our theatres will also be limited to 25% seating capacity. Because of this, we will be implementing several temporary changes to our ticketing and seating policies for the safety of all our patrons, workers and performers.
Ticket sales for all performances will be limited to general admission only.
All tickets must be purchased in advance (online, phone or in-person)—no walk-up tickets sales will be available before the show.
There is a strict limit of 6 seats per individual order.
A purchased ticket guarantees you admission into the performance, but not a specific seat. Upon arrival to the theatre, you and your party will be assigned seats by MSUTheatre personnel.
Our ticket exchange policy is still in effect, but we cannot guarantee alternate seating due to the capacity limitations.
- Wheelchair accessible seating is still available.
Face masks are required for all patrons.
Please visit the official campus page for the most recent information regarding the campus response to COVID-19: www.mnsu.edu/coronavirus.
Current Season Brochure:
Our Theatre & Dance Department presents 6 major theatrical productions during the Mainstage season, 4 Studio Season shows and 2 dance concerts in an academic year. We also feature a professional summer stock series, Highland Summer Theatre, featuring four 4 productions utilizing professional actors and students.
Unless noted, all evening shows begin at 7:30pm and matinee performances are at 2pm.
Box Office Hours:
The Box Office is located at the front of the Ted Paul Theatre in the lobby of the Earley Center for Performing. If you have questions about a ticket order, call (507) 389-6661. It will be answered DURING Box Office hours.
Our program offers an array opportunities exploring a wide range of dramatic literature and movement possibilities in three performance venues and dance studios.
Both the Ted Paul Theatre and the Andreas Theatre are handicapped accessible. Enhanced hearing devices are available at the Box Office. Please note when you are ordering if seating accommodations are needed so we may better serve you.
Although a permit lot, patrons may park in Lot 16 (Green/Gold Permit Lot north of the Earley Center for Performing Arts) during performances without getting ticketed. If you do get ticketed during a regularly scheduled performance, please let us know at (507) 389-2118.
