We strive to prepare students for careers as ethical and responsible public communicators, innovative creators of media texts, and competent professionals in such fields as news, public relations, and other media-related fields.
Professional prospects in Mass Communication are more than the traditional newspaper editor and journalist jobs. Research, write, edit, and produce in-depth reports for radio, television, blogs, or social media. Gain hands-on experience in public relations, journalism, and website administration through both the campus newspaper (MSU Reporter) and independent campus radio station (KMSU).
"The Mass Communication program is special because the professors really care about their students and everyone is passionate about what they teach.."
"In my opinion, what makes the College...special is the diversity of programs and students/faculty that hold a wide array of abilities and interests...”
