Placement Exam

Are you interested in taking a languague course?  Take a placement exam to determine what courses you would be eligible to register for. Students will need to create an account before completing the exam.

Your placement exam score will be provided to you and the department at the end of the exam. Once you have completed the exam and received your score, please follow these placement guidelines:

French Placement Information

German Placement Information

Spanish Placement Information

If your score is close to the top of the range your appropriate placement should be the next course-level. For example if your score is close, but under 200 you should be placed at the 102 level, if your score is close, but under 300 you should be placed at the 201 level. If your score is close to 350-400 you should be placed at the 202 or 210 level. If your score is close to above 400 you may enroll in 210W or contact an instructor or the department for an appropriate course at the 300 level.
