Real-World Experiences

As part of the degree program in Film and Media Studies, students are required to complete a two-credit capstone project. This capstone project is usually conducted in the Summer, Fall, or Spring semester of the student’s senior year before graduation.

There are three types of capstone projects to choose from.

  1. Writing and Analysis Project
  2. Filmmaking Project
  3. Internship in Film

Film and Media Studies majors and Film Studies minors are eligible for the many internships offered by the program.

There are two types of Internship Opportunities:

  1. Local Internships.
  2. Out-State Internships.

Our students can take advantage of the many study abroad programs through the Kearney International Center, some of which allow students to pay the tuition rate of their home institution, thus reducing study abroad costs.

 Film & Media Studies currently has partnerships with two universities abroad.

  2. HAN UNIVERSITY, ARNHEM, NETHERLANDS
