Concert Wind Ensemble:

Concert Wind Ensemble (CWE) is an auditioned ensemble comprised of 45-50 undergraduate and graduate students pursuing a diverse array of majors. The ensemble is designed for the professionally minded performer and music educator and requires a high level of discipline from its members. Throughout the school year, the ensemble members perform a broad scope of large and small ensemble music written for wind, percussion, string and vocal instruments. Our primary goal is to work together to make great music for the ensemble and the audience. The group rehearses fifty minutes, four times each week with individual sectionals taking place outside of rehearsal. Each year the ensemble performs 4-6 concerts on and off campus.

  • Concert Wind Ensemble auditions are held on the first week of the fall semester for freshmen and transfer students. Students will prepare two contrasting sections of a solo, solos, or etudes.  Contact Amy Roisum Foley to sign up for an audition time and for more information.
